Forward Thinking Design is the Social Traders Certified Social Enterprise that brings over two decades of positive ESG focussed design practice and advocacy to our innovation project - FTD Circular. Through this project we further extend our dedication to shaping a sustainable future through built environment circular economy innovation and thought leadership. We believe that planet and people are inextricably intertwined and therefore the responsible practice of circular economy must embed positive social impact, and visa versa. Our advocacy is expressed through undertaking both self-funded and externally funded research, publishing and speaking engagements aiming to inspire industry-wide transformation toward sustainability and ethical practices.

• Self-published 'Fitout As A Material Bank' White Paper

• Made detailed feedback submission to the draft Green Building Council Australia Green Star Fitouts tool

• Presented two research papers at the Decarbonising the Building Industry International Conference 2024

• Actively supported industry education by actively participating in the AceHub forum and self-publishing FTD archive and recent 'Case Studies'

• Actively participated in the Circular Australia Industry Taskforce and provided input into Circular Australia/Arup 'Unlocking Circular Markets' report

• Presented at an Aspire PL webinar with Global GreenTag International Pty Ltd

• Signed the National Traceability Pledge - a commitment to traceability and digitalisation of building product information across the Australian construction sector

• Contributed feature content to several articles by the Interior Fitout Association

• Provided input into Green Building Council Australia Green Star Communities V2 consultation

• Interview on the Michelle Pascoe Podcast

• Partnered (under contract to Aurecon) in the publication of the 'Circular Fitout Toolkit for Offices'
