Forward Thinking Design have been building on our decades of experience in circular economy advocacy and implementation, by joining with others to further develop solutions to the massive environmental impact of built environment design, construction and demolition in Australia. In 2019 we formally launched the thought leadership project now known as FTD Circular through which we advise, consult and teach our circular economy approach and arm the industry with powerful implementation tools. Internally, and with our clients and partners, we have produced several guidelines for designers and construction/de-fit/demolition contractors, local government policy revisions to support circularity, our world’s first circular asset management platform (powered by Hardcat) and the free, publicly available circular economy supplier directory www.ftdcircular.com/directory (recognised by the Green Building Council Australia).
